Entre os dias 1 e 5 de dezembro duas professoras do nosso agrupamento, Anabela Vicente e Custódia Nunes, deslocaram-se a Pendik, Turquia, para participarem na primeira mobilidade no âmbito do projeto Breathing into the Future.
O primeiro dia de mobilidade teve lugar na Pendik Science and Art Center, uma escola destinada a alunos com QI acima da média. Este dia foi dedicado à reflexão sobre a sustentabilidade e a proteção do ambiente não só na Turquia como também nos países parceiros. Também neste dia foram propostas duas atividades implementadas por professores da escola: tangram construído a partir de papel de revistas velhas e a criação de um ornamento decorativo de Natal a partir de materiais recicláveis e naturais (folhas, galhos…).
No segundo dia visitamos o único complexo de tratamento de lixo na Turquia. Ali é feita a separação do lixo que depois de prensado é enviado para reciclagem. Neste dia visitámos ainda a escola Sehit Polis Kemal Tosun Anadolu Imam Hatip Lisesi, em Kartal (escola parceira no projeto). Esta escola acolhe 35 rapazes em regime de internato, meninos carenciados sem família ou com graves problemas.
O terceiro dia foi passado no centro histórico de Istambul por ruas e travessas. Visitamos o Topkapi Palace repleto de memórias riquíssimas e extraordinárias e vistas magníficas. Depois, uma tour cultural pela cidade para sentir os cheiros, os gostos e o pulsar das gentes. A travessia do Mar de Bósforo é uma experiência fantástica. Esta troca de experiências e de conhecimento enriquece esta partilha entre diferentes povos que também é parte integrante deste projeto.
No quarto dia foi feito um balanço do trabalho desenvolvido.

Between 1 and 5 December, two teachers from our school cluster, Anabela Vicente and Custódia Nunes, travelled to Pendik, Turkey, to take part in the first mobility activity within the framework of the Breathing into the Future project.
The first day of the mobility took place at the Pendik Science and Art Centre, a school for pupils with above-average IQs. This day was dedicated to reflecting on sustainability and environmental protection, not only in Turkey but also in the partner countries. Two activities were also proposed and carried out by teachers from the school: a tangram made from pages of old magazines and the creation of a decorative Christmas ornament using recyclable and natural materials (leaves, twigs, etc.).
On the second day, we visited the only waste-treatment complex in Turkey. There, the rubbish is sorted and, after being compressed, is sent for recycling. On this day, we also visited the Sehit Polis Kemal Tosun Anadolu Imam Hatip Lisesi in Kartal (a partner school in the project). This school houses 35 boys in a boarding system, disadvantaged children without families or facing serious problems.
The third day was spent wandering through the historic centre of Istanbul, along its streets and alleyways. We visited Topkapi Palace, full of extraordinary and priceless memories and offering magnificent views. Afterwards, we took a cultural tour of the city to experience its scents, flavours, and the vibrant pulse of its people. Crossing the Bosphorus is a wonderful experience. This exchange of experiences and knowledge enriches the sharing between different peoples, which is also an integral part of the project.
On the fourth day, an assessment was made of the work carried out.
